CAPTER II 1.INTRODUCTION A.BACKGROUND Over the times, the world is now increasingly more sophisticated because wherever we are, we are always surrounded by that name media. Between media that we often use is electronic media for example mobile phones. The phone is also called a simple plane because it is easy to carry anywhere, besides its small and not troublesome, making it easier for us to interact with loved ones. mobile phones can also be used to surf, so we can know about what we want is always there on the internet, including doing teransaksi buying and selling online, and also we can run a business online as well. For that I will do some research about the media on this one so we can use the phone as well as possible for positive purposes. B.RESEARCH FOCUS Mobile phone is a highly sophisticated tool that we can carry it everywhere and we can use anytime.phone is a tool that we can use the positive things or benefit so that we can use the best possible way. Mobile is a medium that is very important to be possessed by any person because the phones have we can know what we want. C.STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Besides many positive things that owned many phones also negative things such phones owned, with the overuse of cell phones will result in brain cancer and brain tumors, is caused by excessive use of mobile phones. Misuse of mobile phones due to lack of knowledge about the use of media and the resulting lack of iformation we could not use our cell phones to find out conplate information. Lack of interest in learning in children who already know the phone because it is affected by the media. D.RESEARCH PURPOSE Purpose I raised this issue because it has a lot that I see around my neighborhood that although many have had cell phones even everyone has with the media, but there are still some who do not know what and how to use the phone so benefit for all us. 2.REVIEW OF LITERATURE A.THEORITICAL FOUNDATION Mobile phones today is similar to the lives of both. Many people who can not part with his mobile phone. Though mobile phone radiation is quite alarming. Is the increase in cases of brain tumors caused by excessive cell phone use? Medical oncologists from Mayo Clinic, USA Timoty J. Moynihan, MD confirms the relationship between cell phones and cancer is still controversial. Years of study on cell phones and cancer is still found conflicting results. Until now there is no consensus of experts regarding the levels of cancer risk caused by mobile phone use. Numerous studies show a slight increase in brain tumors since the 1970s. Of course, the phone has not been used in the 1970s. Moynihan said the increase in cases of brain tumors may be related to other factors such as increased access to health facilities and more sophisticated diagnostic imaging tool for photographing the presence of a tumor. Ever conducted a study of 420 thousand mobile phone users for more than 20 years. Researchers found no evidence between cell phone use and brain tumors. Other studies have found a link between cell phones and cancer salivary glands. However, the study involves only participant few malignancies. Another study found a possible increased risk of glioma, a type of brain tumor-specific, on excessive mobile phone users but are generally not found an increased risk of brain tumors. After evaluating several possibilities for research into mobile phones and glioma and non-cancerous brain tumor called acoustic neuroma, a member of the International Agency for Research on Cancer, which is part of WHO - agree there is little evidence to support the mobile phone radiation is carcinogenic or cancer-causing. The group classified radiofrequency electromagnetic fields may be carcinogenic to people. However, some recent research that does not tell the whole story. Often, it takes many years between the use of new cancer causing substances such as tobacco, and observation of increased incidence of cancer. Up to this point, may be new little time elapsed to detect cancer directly caused the increase in mobile phone use. According to Moynihan, until now there is no clarity whether cell phones cause cancer. Despite long-term research is still ongoing, until now there has been no evidence of cell phone use increases the risk of cancer. So if you are worried about cell phones cause cancer, limit the use of cell phones or use hands-free devices to keep mobile phones away from the head.
